the faith of the faithless does not require a leap, unlike some brits think. it is an understanding of the temporal and ephemeral quality of this intermediate state. it is long meditation and longer action followed by longer still meditation. events hold little meaning and yet we are bound by their limits. quiet listening followed by radical actions. an explosion is followed by a clamping down. a longer action is required. this is the faith. no jump, only awareness.
but what do i know, i'm still stuck.

"all phenomena are ultimately selfless, empty and free from conceptual elaboration.
in their dynamic they resemble an illusion, mirage, dream, or reflected image,
a celestial city, an echo, a reflection of the moon in water, a bubble, an optical illusion, or an intangible emanation...
all phenomena are naturally uncreated.
they neither abide nor cease, neither come nor go.
they are without objective referent, signless, ineffable and free from though..." the great liberation by hearing, natural liberation of the natural mind, trans gyurme dorje
"O, what a world of unseen visions and heard silences, this insubstantial country of the mind! What ineffable essences, these touchless rememberings and unshowable reveries! And the privacy of it all! A secret theater of speechless monologue and prevenient counsel, an invisible mansion of all moods, musings, and mysteries, an infinite resort of disappointments and discoveries. A whole kingdom where each of us reigns reclusively alone, questioning what we will, commanding what we can. A hidden hermitage where we may study out the troubled book of what we have done and yet may do. An introcosm that is more myself than anything I can find in a mirror. This consciousness that is myself of selves, that is everything, and yet is nothing at all - what is it?" julian jaynes, the origin of consciousness in the breakdown of the bicameral mind

"hello, eh, hello, hello Dimitri,
listen,
can't hear too well,
do you suppose you could turn the music down just a little?
uhuh, thats much better.
yes.
fine.
i can hear you now Dimitri,
clear and plain and coming through fine.
i'm coming through fine too, eh?
good.
then.
well, then as you say we're both coming through fine.
good.
well, its good that you're fine and i'm fine.
i agree with you, its great to be fine.
well, then Dimitri,
you know that we've always talked about the possibility
of something going wrong with the bomb.
the bomb, Dimitri."
